Computer Science Concepts

This first lesson is to familiarize the students with Scratch and teach them the concept of a program. A program follows a set of instructions, in order, from top to bottom. In this project, students will have a character, named a sprite in Scratch. This character needs to navigate through some sort of maze to accomplish a task. Depending on the task, there may be items the character should pick up or items the character should avoid. For all of them, the route is important. Thus, the student decides on a sequence of turns and forward movements to navigate the scene.
