Valley View and Peabody

Overview

Welcome to the pilot KELP CS curriculum page. This provides all of the resources for your class for this pilot, winter 2014. This includes the FiredUp activities, WiredUp activites, and, very importantly, the assessments to go along with them. That is how this page differs from the main curriculum page. So please use this page for your planning purposes for each class.

Project Submissions
Please make sure you students submit at the end of each session, regardless of whether they have finished. You are free to let them work on the same project for two sessions if you feel they need it. It is vitally important, though, that they always upload their submissions at the end of each session so that we get a snapshot of how far they got. Because of the problems we had in the lab with the green flag button taking so long, we have dramatically decreased how often we save. As a result, we won't grab things that were saved more than an hour ago. Therefore, it is important that students upload at least once an hour. Please make sure that the students upload the .octx file, not the .oct file.

Student Webpage
I have a separate web page for your students: http://discover.cs.ucsb.edu/pilot/octopi.html
Please write this on the board every session or have your system administrator bookmark it for the students.
